Brodie Wells

I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ first. Everything else flows from that: how I treat my family, why I volunteer, what kind of businesses I try to build.

I'm married to Tv. We have two kids: Brogan, who is 18 and has DYRK1A syndrome, and Beni, who is 15 and talented in ways that still surprise me. Family is the point. Work is what I do between showing up for them.

I grew up in Durango, Colorado. I fought forest fires, enlisted in the Navy as a weather observer, and later commissioned as a meteorology and oceanography officer. I earned a Master's in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography at the Naval Postgraduate School and put in 20 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in August 2025. I just like hard things. I still think like a forecaster: understand the system, stay humble about what you can't know, make the best call with what you have.

I've run ultra marathons. The distance, the discomfort, the patience for long efforts. That's still in my bones. It's shaped how I approach hard things more than almost anything else.

I'm Elders Quorum President at my church in Virginia Beach, which is a way of saying I'm always looking for ways to be useful to the people around me.
